This impressively thick, two-sided game wheel is paint-decorated with overlaid red & sky blue stars. One side has 6-pointed stars with elongated arms and black lines extending so as to create a starburst effect that separates the wheel into 6 equal sections. The other side has a slightly lesser impact, 5-pointed version and an entirely different layout of numerals. Dating to around 1900, the painted surface is beautiful with exceptionally nice craquelure in the blue and red. Made of 1.5 inch thick, laminated wood, there are metal pins on both sides, which is highly unusual. This results in an overall depth of almost 6 inches. Including the wall mount, the overall depth is approximately 9 inches.
